Professor Madhulika Kaushik

Professor Madhulika Kaushik, an MBA and PhD in Marketing, has a teaching and research experience of over 40 years spread over national and international Institutions. Having started her career as a research fellow in 1978 at Jodhpur university, she has had a long career in academics holding several distinguished positions.

She joined the world of Open and Distance Learning in 1988, as a Reader in Management Studies at IGNOU, was later selected as a Professor of Management in IGNOU till January 2011.Since then she has served as the Education Specialist, Higher education at the Commonwealth of Learning, and as  the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic at Wawasan Open University, Malaysia . She is now serving as the Pro Vice Chancellor, Usha Martin University, Ranchi, India.

Professor Kaushik has conducted numerous consultancies for international agencies such as UNDP, UNESCO, FAO, COL, ILO, British Council and ADB as well as the Government of India. She also authored a report commissioned on ICT in Higher Education in India as part of an ADB project. Based on her distinguished academic publications, teaching excellence, extensive professional contributions to the community and her contribution to the field of Education, she was awarded the Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini award in year 1998.

Her current research interests include women’s leadership in higher education, mainstreaming OER in Universities and using ICH for teaching and research effectiveness.
