Professor Jane-Frances Obiageli Agbu

Jane-Frances Obiageli Agbu is a Professor of Clinical Psychology. She is from Onitsha, a small commercial town in South-Eastern Nigeria. She was born as the 8th child in a family of 10 children. She noted that growing up was challenging but with resilience and optimistic attitude, she was able to navigate towards her set goals. She is a therapist, a mother of three and an advocate of open education. She has worked with the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) since 2006 and have held the following positions: Head, Open Educational Resources Unit; Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences and Director, NOUN-Abuja Study Centre. She joined the Commonwealth of Learning in October 2021 as Adviser, Higher Education, a position she notes, affords her the privilege to disseminate the beauty of diversity, equity, access and inclusiveness in education.
