Dr. Ushma Anerao is a competent professional with 25+ years of extensive experience in Academics with focus on Academic Management, Administration and Industry Institute Interaction. She has 10+ years’ experience as Head of the Institute – Principal of Government Polytechnic for Girls. She is a Chairperson at Vidushee Gargi Centre for Women Development, Gujarat Technological University (more than 450 affiliated institutes) She is a keen planner, strategist and implementer of projects, special events and developmental activities. Here she has performed duties such as academic planning, management and implementation of all institutional activities for 1800 students; leadership role for more than 100 employees; planning and maintenance associated with development; purchase and infrastructure following the government procedures. She has promoted and strengthened education of girls with emphasis on their comprehensive growth.
She has undertaken developmental projects by development through Industry Institute Interaction; reconstruction of 3 villages in Morbi block, District: Rajkot along with NGOs such as Tata Relief Committee and United Nations Development Program. She has participated in a project of reconstruction of 150 houses of Naniboru village, Dholka Taluka, District : Ahmedabad along with NGOs like ASAG, JICA (Japan). As a former Head of the Department and Principal of the largest Government Girl’s Institute in Gujarat she has worked towards the development of girls and women in a holistic manner.
