Dr Ann Angela A. Wallace

Dr. Ann Wallace is a Higher Education Management and eLearning Specialist. A career administrator, Dr. Wallace has public and private sector experience in Zambia, Zimbabwe and Barbados. Recently retired from the Sagicor Cave Hill School of Business and Management of The University of the West Indies as Academic Programme Director and Officer-in-Charge after over 28 years, Dr. Wallace was responsible for programme design, development delivery and organisational operations. Her leadership saw the effective delivery of the UWI’s Executive Diploma in Management, Executive MBA and DBA programmes in blended modalities. During this period, Ann served as Head of Faculty Online Programming in the Faculty of Social Sciences of The University of the West Indies.

Her qualifications include a Doctorate in Business Administration-Higher Education Management from the University of Bath in the United Kingdom, where her dissertation title is E-Learning in Higher Education: The Gender Perspective. She holds a Master of Arts Degree in Online and Distance Education from the Open University of the United Kingdom, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of the West Indies, and an Advanced Diploma in Administration from the Institute of Administrative Management in Kent, UK.  She is the winner of the University of Bath’s Richard and Shirley Mawditt Prize for outstanding performance in 2015. Dr. Wallace also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in University Teaching and Learning from the UWI and has been trained in University Quality Assurance Assessment. She is an academic case writer, a certified online instructor, and a Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) convener. The Business School at the UWI, Cave Hill offers the Ann Wallace Highest Achiever Award in its Executive Diploma in Management programme.
